SIGNING OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN INTERPOL NCB MANILA AND DFA ON DIRECT ACCESS TO THE INTERPOL INFORMATION SYSTEM
 

    Undersecretary ALLAN C GUISIHAN, Executive Director, Philippine Center on Transnational Crime/Head, INTERPOL Manila NCB Secretariat and Chairman, National Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee, Sub-Committee on International Law Enforcement Cooperation (NALECC-SCILEC) and Undersecretary ARIEL Y ABADILLA, from the Office of the Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Affairs, Department of Foreign Affairs (OUCSCA-DFA) signed the agreement on 18 January 2017 at 09:30 AM, allowing DFA to access directly to the INTERPOL Information System, particularly the Stolen Lost Travel Document database. On the same day, 18 January 2017 at 10:00 AM, a regular monthly meeting of the NALECC-SCILEC was held at the Office of Special Envoy on Transnational Crime hosted by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

    During the meeting, a Plaque of Recognition was distributed to its 27 INTERPOL member agencies for their invaluable support that resulted to the successful execution of impact programs, projects, and activities for the period from July 15, 2015 to July 15, 2016 which contributed immeasurably to the maintenance of peace and order, public safety, and security in the country. The NALECC-SCILEC was adjudged as the Best NALECC Sub-Committee for 2016.
